How unusual for them professionally out boxes of games that include Pregame and post game. I’ve only watched 4 slices as of this writing, and all have had some Pregame and post-game! Need I say more? Rating: 4 / 5
I bought this DVD as a Christmas present for my son who plays college football and has been a Notre Dame fan all his life. He was anticipating to take it back to school and watch their teammates. We watched a game together at home and the quality was good. The price is reasonable for the quantity and quality of DVD. It was fun for him to look at “old school” game! Rating: 4 / 5
8 games in 8 different slices of 8 slimline case (in each case contains a wealth of information that the game temp, lists, attendance figures, etc.) housed in a lid as shown in the pic. They tried to really make a quality product and it shows. Good if you’re a Notre Dame fan or want to see some classic games in general. The image quality is generally good but varies from game to game as expected, but it is good only for the nostalgia factor. Plus, it’s fun to see who was on the top 25, at the time that sports ticker update will pop up from time to time during matches. And at under $ 60, it is a good deal. I bought the USC vs. Texas, Notre Dame vs. WV (which this box included), and LSU vs. OU National Championship game for an average cost of $ 19 each as an example. Overall, recommended to the Irish fans and college football fans with a sense of history. Rating: 5 / 5
I just got this set and I was really impressed by the game. The quality of the picture is very good, except some of the USC game (from the 2nd quarter to one part of the 3rd quarter). . . somehow the picture was very grainy and back to good again. I highly recommend this DVD if you’re a college football. Rating: 4 / 5
Do not get me wrong. This is a great set of earlier classic Notre Dame football games, but there are many previous games that have been omitted. Not sure why. Why is there no highlights the classic 1946 Army vs. Notre Dame Game of the Century “is included. This is the famous game ended in a 0-0 tie and inluded 4 Heisman Trophy’s. Army’s Doc Blanchard and Glenn Davis. Notre Dame’s Leon Hart and Johnny Lujack. Some people consider this the biggest game in college football tiderna.Saknas also Notre Dame classic 1953 battle with Georgia Tech. The Irish stunned the Yellow Jackets 27-14, ending Georgia Tech 31 game unbeaten streak in Notre Dame Stadium. Notre Dame went on to an undefeated season that year (9/0/1). The now famous (Cheerios Bowl) line marked this race. Notre Dame came into the game ranked # 18 in the polls against the # 3 SEC Champions Florida Gators. The Irish were criticized for being in this game and not a top-ranked team Penn State. Notre Dame would have no chance in this match against the pass happy Gator offense.
